Pastel mandalas are painted in the same way as when flowers open - they are get bigger and bigger with ease. This is also how you will enlarge your mandala symmetrically and know its growth principle. What´s more, the technique of using a dry pastel enables you to shade with ease and bring light to the picture even without the use of white color. You will learn how to keep the same distance of the leaves from the center and make and attempt to arrange the leaves over and under another in a single mandala. Painting the mandala with the admitted auxiliary axes will help you to orient yourself better. You should be able to paint the following mandalas without even using the auxiliary axes.
