This course is dedicated to the rules of the portrait. You will learn how to combine what you know (your left brain) with what you can see (your right brain). By drawing schemes and with the right measuring, you will understand the relationships between the individual parts of human face, finding out that an appearance is only a difference from a scheme. It is like when you were learning how to walk. At the beginning it doesn’t really work but then it becomes automatic and you don’t think about it anymore.

Only when combining your left and your right brain, you can dedicate to the facial details. You will learn how to draw the eyes, ears, hair, the nose and the mouth. You will see the structure of each part. Once you understand them, they will become easier to draw. With all those skills learned, drawing a real portrait will be a piece of cake.

In this part, you will apply everything you’ve already learned. You will switch between different drawing methods choosing the style you like the most. If you know how to draw a portrait, you are able to draw almost anything. The human brain is very sensitive to the appearance, residing only in small differences. Then it will be very easy for you to draw anything else.
